The Triconex 8301A Power Supply Module is a high-capacity power supply designed for the Tricon Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) controller chassis. It functions as the primary power source in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), converting a 24 VDC input into regulated backplane voltages required by the main processors and I/O modules.
Engineered for mission-critical reliability, the 8301A supports redundant power configurations. When installed as a dual pair, modules operate in active load-sharing mode. In the event of a failure, the remaining unit seamlessly assumes the full load with no interruption to system operation or safety integrity. Integrated diagnostics continuously monitor output voltage and internal temperature to ensure operation remains within defined safety limits.
