Overview

F3 DIO 16/8 01 is a safety-related remote I/O module from HIMA, designed for industrial automation systems. Housed in a compact metal casing, it features 16 digital inputs, 8 2-pole digital outputs, and 2 pulsed outputs. The 2-pole outputs consist of two switches connected in series, one switching to L+ and the other switching to L-.

Safety Function

• Safety-Related Digital Inputs:
  • Inputs safely transmit values to the connected controller via safeethernet.
  • Outputs receive their values safely from the connected controller through safeethernet.

Safety-Related Digital Inputs

• Each input's state (HIGH, LOW) is indicated by an individual LED.
• Mechanical contacts can connect to the inputs without their own power supply.
• Potential-free mechanical contacts are powered via an internal short-circuit-proof 24 V power source (LS+).
• Each power source supports a group of 4 mechanical contacts.
