Overview

The safety-related F2 DO 8 01 remote I/O module is a compact system housed in a metal casing, featuring 8 safety-related relay outputs. It is designed to meet the integrity requirements specified in relevant test standards.

This remote I/O module includes safety-related relay outputs, which are securely controlled by a connected controller via SafeEthernet. The system operates on the "de-energize to trip" principle, meaning that in the event of a system fault, all relay outputs automatically revert to a de-energized safe state. If a channel-specific fault occurs, only the affected channel will be de-energized.

In both fault scenarios, the FAULT LED illuminates, and error codes can trigger reactions within the user program. The remote I/O module can also be configured for "energize to trip" applications, where the relay output is activated to perform a safety function.
