The 100% Brand New GE IC200ALG630 acquires temperature and low-level voltage data for the VersaMax I/O system. It interfaces with up to seven thermocouple sensors (Types J, K, T, S, R) or measures direct millivolt signals (+/-19.5mV to +/-625mV). The module provides 15-bit plus sign resolution and handles cold junction compensation (CJC) via software configuration.

  Does this module require an external 24VDC power supply?

  No. The IC200ALG630 draws power from the 5V and 3.3V backplane. It does not require external power for the inputs, though a thermistor power source may be needed for specific Local CJC setups depending on the carrier.

  Can I mix Thermocouple and mV inputs on the same module?

  Yes. You configure each of the 7 channels independently in the software (Proficy Machine Edition). Set the type to J, K, T, S, R for TC, or "None" for mV input, and select the specific mV range for that channel.

  What carrier should I use for Thermocouple wiring?

  For best results with Local CJC, use the Interposing Thermocouple I/O Terminal (IC200CHS014) connected via cable to a Connector-Style Carrier (IC200CHS003). You can also use standard terminal carriers (IC200TBMxxx) but you must install the thermistor kit (IC690ACC905) on terminals A9/A10.

  Yes. When the system hardware configuration enables RIUP (Removal and Insertion Under Power), the IC200ALG630 supports live replacement without powering down the rack.
