ELFD Controller Carrier

The ELFD Controller Carrier serves as a mounting platform capable of supporting up to two SafetyNet Controllers (8851-LC-MT). It also includes space for a Power Supply Monitor module (8410-NS-PS), which is responsible for monitoring the health of up to two 8913-PS-AC or four 8914-PS-AC power supplies, as well as the 12V supply to Intrinsically Safe Modules, if applicable.

Each Controller on the Carrier is equipped with a serial port connector and a manually operated "Change State" button. Additionally, the Carrier provides dedicated terminals for earth leakage fault detection when needed.

User Controls:

• Change State Buttons:
  Two buttons are provided on the carrier, one for each SafetyNet Controller. The state change depends on the controller state before the button is pressed. The effects are as follows:
  • Master: Changes to standby if the current standby is healthy
  • Standby: Changes to offline state
  • Backup: Re-synchronize and return to standby
