Overview

The 3500/15 AC and DC Power Supplies are half-height modules designed for installation in designated slots on the left side of the rack. The system supports either one or two power supplies, with combinations of AC and DC options.

• Primary and Backup Configuration:
  When two power supplies are installed, the lower slot contains the primary power supply, while the upper slot holds the backup power supply. The backup supply is only active when the primary supply fails.

• Hot Swappable:
  Inserting or removing either power supply does not disrupt the operation of the rack as long as the second power supply is installed.

• Wide Input Voltage Range:
  The power supply accepts a broad range of input voltages and converts them to levels suitable for other 3500 modules.

  • Low Voltage DC Power Supply

• Compatibility Note:
  The Universal AC Power Supply and Power Input Module (PIM) are not compatible with legacy 3500 AC Power Supplies, High Voltage AC PIMs, or Low Voltage AC PIMs. Similarly, the High Voltage and Low Voltage DC Power Supplies and PIMs are not compatible with legacy DC power supplies and PIMs.
