Overview

The 3500 Power Supplies are half-height modules designed to be installed in the specially designated slots on the left side of the rack. A 3500 rack can accommodate one or two power supplies (a combination of ac and/or dc). Any installed power supply can power the entire rack, with the second supply acting as a backup. If two power supplies are installed, the supply in the lower slot serves as the primary supply, and the supply in the upper slot serves as the backup supply.

• Removing or inserting a power supply module will not disrupt rack operation as long as a second power supply is installed.
