Technical FAQ
Can the ADV859 drive high-current loads directly?
No. Each output is rated at 100 mA, 30 V DC. High-current devices such as motors or large heaters must be driven via interposing relays or SSRs.
What is the purpose of the /G3 option?
The /G3 option applies an ISA G3-compliant conformal coating, protecting the PCB against corrosive gases such as sulfur and chlorine, commonly found in wastewater and chemical processing facilities.
Are pulse width functions available by default?
No. Pulse width and time-proportional control are only enabled when the module is ordered with the /P option (ADV859/P).
