The ADV142 is a high-voltage AC discrete input module for the Yokogawa CENTUM VP and CS 3000 systems, designed to interface directly with 200–240 V AC signals. It eliminates the need for external interposing relays or voltage transducers, making it ideal for high-voltage equipment monitoring and power distribution applications.

The module provides 16 isolated input channels with optical isolation, ensuring robust dielectric protection between the field-side high voltage and the system logic.

AC inputs require rectification and filtering to account for zero-crossing. The 160 ms response ensures stable detection without false OFF readings.

Can this module measure frequency or pulse signals?
No. The ADV142 only detects ON/OFF voltage presence. For frequency or high-speed pulse counting, use modules like ADV157 (DC) or appropriate AC frequency modules.
