It provides accurate, real-time measurements of casing growth—also known as case expansion—by using two Linear Variable Differential Transformers (LVDTs) to track the relative position between a machine’s casing and its foundation.

This monitor calculates both independent and differential measurements between its two transducer inputs, allowing operators to understand thermal expansion effects and structural movement in critical machinery.
