Product Overview
The ProSoft MVI56-GEC is a Generic ASCII Ethernet Interface module designed to enable Rockwell Automation ControlLogix processors to communicate with external devices over TCP/IP Ethernet networks using ASCII protocols. This module is ideal for integrating devices such as barcode scanners, printers, weigh scales, and other ASCII-based devices into ControlLogix systems.
The module supports up to five simultaneous clients and five servers, allowing both data reception and transmission. It installs directly into the ControlLogix chassis as a single-slot module, and communicates with the processor via the backplane.
