Overview
The 505E is a versatile 32-bit microprocessor-based controller designed for managing single extraction, extraction/admission, or admission steam turbines. Its field-programmable nature allows a single model to adapt to a wide range of control applications, offering both cost efficiency and shorter delivery times. The 505E features menu-driven software that guides site engineers through the process of programming the control system to suit specific generator or mechanical drive applications. It can function independently or integrate seamlessly with a plant’s Distributed Control System (DCS).
Operator Control Panel
The 505E is a versatile steam turbine control system that combines both control functionality and an operator control panel (OCP) into a single, integrated unit. This comprehensive OCP, located on the front panel of the 505E, features a two-line display, each capable of showing 24 characters, along with a set of 30 keys. The OCP is designed to facilitate the configuration of the 505E, allow for real-time program adjustments, and enable efficient turbine and system operation. Clear, step-by-step instructions are provided in English on the two-line display, allowing operators to easily view both actual and setpoint values simultaneously on the same screen.
