Acting as a transparent gateway, it enables seamless communication between Nodebus-based stations and Mesh Ethernet systems without requiring major software or hardware changes to existing field devices.
The P0972VA replaces traditional LAN Interfaces (LI) used on carrierband networks, migrating traffic to a 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet backbone. This approach reduces load on aging Nodebus segments while extending system lifecycle and supporting modern controllers such as FCP270 and ZCP270. When deployed in redundant pairs with a redundancy connector, the module provides high availability for critical control infrastructures.
